19th-century widow Eva (Odessa Young) is faced with an impossible choice when a shipwreck hits her isolated fishing post in the middle of a particularly brutal winter. Eva and her crew must choose between salvaging the shipwreck or surviving the winter on their last remaining food. Faced with the consequences of their choices and racked by guilt, the villagers struggle with a growing sense of fear and come to believe that they are all being punished for their choices.
