In the timeless town of Macondo, seven generations of the Buendía family navigate love, oblivion, and the inevitability of their past and their community of destiny, building a series of props and sets. A pure joy to watch this cinematic Colombian marvel. The screen adaptation exceeded my expectations and removed all fears of a potentially disastrous attempt to make a decent film from such a cold "unscripted" novel. It seems completely authentic and magical to my eyes. Bravo to the Colombian authors and the Colombian crew for a very attentive, careful, and sensitive adaptation [of one of the most beautiful novels ever written! The cinematography is excellent and shows the beauty of Colombia very vividly. The costumes, colonial architecture, interior design of the buildings, and carefully chosen music capture the unforgettable atmosphere of Colombian magic in every detail. "One Hundred Years of Solitude" is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar for more!
